Dubai’s shopping festival is back this year to gain popularity as the leading attraction for the tourists. With it’s establishment in 1996, the Dubai Shopping Festival attracted around 1.6 million visitors around the globe for this shopping zone that was entirely tax free. It became popular over the past few years and the number of visitors doubled and tripled every year because of the availability of wide range of products, promotions, sales and discounts every year. The organizers(DEPE) of this great event expect a large number of visitors this year-all coming under one roof.

The mega event is planned to begin on January 20th, 2011 and will close by February 20th, 2011. Featuring more than 6000 retail shops that provide discounts and having nearly 50 malls will ensure 75% of sales. This in turn would definitely attract shopping lovers who will try their hands for random picks on the tax free products. The list of products that will be on the show range from jewelry, textiles, perfumes, handicrafts, cars and many more. Apart from having regular products for sale, the show will feature events for family and kids entertainment.

Dubai Shopping Festival this year will feature International Concerts, Carnivals, Mega Raffle of Lexus, Grand Raffle, fire works, fashion show, desert camp, heritage and park events, carpet oasis, Night Souq. All these would be accompanied by musicians and artists from across the globe and will have many local artists too. And even the global village can be visited where the cultural events and shows would be held to attract people.
